- This course focuses on the important issues of rthetorical mode and idea development which combine to display what is typically referred to as 'logic.' Students are taught to recognize how essays in English develop a thesis.
Writing is taught as a process to discover meaning in experiences. Insights, ideas, and opinions are shared in seminar-style discussions and debates. In response to weekly readings, students sharpen their analytical skills, practice quick writing activities in class, and write compositions as homework.
